Edible Toothpicks
Any number of hors d’oeuvres—including small meatballs, crab cakes, marinated mushrooms, and bits of semi-soft cheese—are served with toothpick skewers. We like this innovative alternative that avoids the problem of used toothpick disposal. In place of wooden toothpicks, spear each hors d’oeuvre with a slender pretzel stick, which can be eaten right along with the tasty tidbit it has just skewered.
